Review
Blues Brothers 2000STORY / GAMEPLAY
The game starts with Elwood imprisoned and seeking for ways to get the band ready for the battle of the bands that will take place in less than two days. At first you need to save Cab the guitarist and then escape from prison and run through Chicago, hopping to find Mac and Buster for the great musical battle. The gameplay is pretty similar to Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie and you can defeat enemies by hitting them with your punches and kicks or by performing a back flipping or a butt stomp when on air (using the Z-trigger!) On each level, you find and collect several standard items such as coins, notes and musical instruments. Spending those coins will help you gain more lives as in every 100 coins you snag you get 1UP!)

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The graphics on N64 are crisp with colorful 3D environments, blended texture layouts and great character animations. The sound is equally awesome as all sound effects come out crystal clear and fit the game's style perfectly. Some licensed music hits are also included, like Otis Redding's "Respect"! Those recordings are not the original but some midi renditions that are easier to fit to the memory limitations of N64's cartridges.
